My name is Lucy. I am a professional wedding photographer and videographer based in York, UK.

I am 40 years old and I have photographed and filmed over 100 weddings!

Photography is my other passion in life though and on those rare occasions that I get some free time I love to be anywhere outside with my camera. Otherwise you’ll find me at home watching my favourite TV shows or curled up with a good book. But let me tell you more about my style of work.

I am a storyteller and my aim is to create pictures that look like shots from a romantic film. I do not hide behind the camera. I get involved and capture moments that show the enjoyment and excitement as it happens

I move around to involve everyone and everywhere so the couple can get to see all that they might have missed

I think of my photography as a way to leave my “footprint” so future generations can see their parents and grandparents at this special time

I believe that every couple deserves to look beautiful and I will remove from every photo anything unwanted such as an errant wine stain or an unfortunate pimple

I will keep posed photos to a minimum but I will give directions for the couple in order to help them to relax and show their real emotions

I work as hard just as I would like a photographer or videographer to work at my own wedding

I love what I do and I enjoy capturing special memories for someone’s special day
